Kaysville City, as a municipality, strongly supports our Healthy Kaysville initiative. It will not ask of its citizens what it is not willing to do itself to promote and adopt a "Green" environmental value system.
Going GREEN means to pursue knowledge and practices that can lead to more environmentally friendly and ecologically responsible decisions and lifestyles, which can help protect the environment and sustain its natural resources for current and future generations.
Kaysville's waste disposal services has migrated from a ONE garbage can service to offering residents additional GREEN oriented "garbage" cans.
- The BLACK can collects most general household waste.
- The BLUE can is used for all appropriate recyclable materials.
- The GREEN can is dedicated for yard and garden waste which is then taken to the land fill and turned into compost.
Kaysville city has participated in the Tree City USA initiative for the past eighteen years.
The following is a report from each city department of methodologies which have been or are planned to be implemented which can help protect our environment and sustain our natural resources.
The Healthy Kaysville initiative utilizes volunteer support. If your are interested, contact the service desk at Kaysville City Hall or contact Ron Zollinger:
