Storm water runoff is rain water that runs off rooftops, lawns, driveways and streets in our neighborhoods. As it flows, it picks up dirt, leaves, grass clippings, pesticides and fertilizers, oil and grease, harmful bacteria, toxic chemicals, litter and other contaminants. All of these pollutants are carried by storm water into storm drains and ultimately into our streams and waterways. Remember to keep our storm drains clean and our creeks free from pollution. Please do not place anything in the gutter that will wash down the storm drains.
Pressure Irrigation/Secondary Water
Kaysville City has pressure irrigation systems running throughout. There are three different companies that have systems in the city. They are Benchland, Davis & Weber Canal Company, and Haights Creek. Use the map below to locate your service provider. The button below will take you to a static map of the system.
If you have a project that may involve Kaysville City Public Works, please contact us in advance to be assured we have the proper material and equipment available when needed and are able to schedule time to work on your project.
Curbside recycling is offered by the City. Pickup for blue recycling cans is every other week. Pickup for green waste cans is weekly on the same day as your black can is picked up. To see when your home is scheduled for garbage/recycling collection, click here.
Garbage cans are provided to residential customers by the city. Each can has a serial number that connects it to a specific address. When you move, please do not take your garbage can with you.
Please place your can at curbside by 6:00 a.m. on your collection day. All refuse must be placed inside the can. Garbage collection does not take place on the following holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Garbage collection will be delayed one day following a holiday.
Kaysville City Public Works is dedicated to keeping the roads safe during the winter season. We strive to remove snow and ice from our roads as quickly and safely as possible to maintain a safe flow of traffic throughout the city. Emphasis is also placed on ensuring emergency services can be provided throughout the city. Our crews will clear snow from primary roads first. This is so the streets with the most amount of regular and emergency traffic are as safe as possible. Weather conditions determine the amount of plows and types of materials used for each storm.
Contact the Public Works Department at 801-544-8112 if you should see snow or ice control problems.
