The Kaysville City Council has passed an ordinance restricting the use of fireworks and open fires. Conditions exist within certain areas of the City which increase the danger of wildfire. It has been determined that discharge of fireworks and open fires will present an unreasonable risk of igniting fires. Therefore, for the preservation of public health, safety and welfare, fireworks cannot be discharged and no open fires are allowed in certain areas of the City. Click here to see a map of the restricted areas.Â
Violators of this ordinance will be given citations - no warnings will be issued.
Persons starting a fire will pay the costs of fighting the fire.
