Summerfest 2012

August 9-11

Summerfest is a program of the Bountiful/Davis Art Center which was started as an art festival in 1974.  The distinctive program of international performances was added in 1988.  This year, international folk dance and music performers will come from Indonesia, France, Colombia, Kenya, India, Russia, Croatia, Sierra Leone and Costa Rica. 

To kick off the event, a Street Dance/Street Feast will be held August 8 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Main and Center Streets in Bountiful.  Bring your lawn chairs but also be prepared to get up and dance.  Street Feast is a fun way to sample food from select restaurants in the area.  Bring your appetities and sense of adventure and try some different cuisine.  Food tickets are $1 each, 6 for $5, or 12 for $10.  Food offerings will take between 1-5 tickets. 

The Summerfest Festival will be held at the Bountiful City Park August 9 (from 5:00-10:00 p.m.) and August 10 and 11 (from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.).  Host families for the international performers are still needed.  Host families provide food, transportation and lodging for our international guests.  Please call 801-292-0367 or email info@bdac.org for more information.
