PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR
DESIGN OF KAYSVILLE CITY
ONE-MILLION GALLON UNDERGOUND REINFORCED CONCRETE WATER TANK

Kaysville City is requesting proposals from professional engineering consulting companies to design a new Kaysville City One-Million Gallon Underground Reinforced Concrete Water Storage Tank. This project will include the design of a water storage tank, water pipelines and appurtenances located at 1301 Green Road on property owned by Kaysville City.
SCOPE OF PROFESSIONAL DESIGN SERVICES
As part of the Consultant’s proposal, the Consultant will be required to provide a specific work plan to accomplish the project. The engineering services being request and the necessary tasks that need to be included in the work plan include but are not limited to the following:
10. Obtain State approvals for the water system changes.
11. Construction Management/Inspection. Manage change orders, attend weekly meetings with contractor, and perform necessary inspections through construction phase.
In order to more easily evaluate and compare proposals, the City is requiring that each proposal be organized in the following format:
a) Summary Letter - Provide a one-page letter, which summarizes the estimated fee for each phase of design as well as the total fee for the project.
b) Estimated Fees - The City requires a breakdown of the total estimated fees for each major task and subtask. The estimated fees shall be separated into design phases and needs to be presented in table form as an exhibit attachment to the summary letter.
Provide and submit three (3) copies of the proposal. The consultant’s proposal for this project shall not exceed ten (10), 8 ½ x 11-inch pages, including cover letter. The font size shall be no smaller than size 12. Resumes of key proposed team members may be attached to the back of the consultant’s proposal as an appendix. Resumes will not count toward the ten (10) page limit specified herein.
In comparing proposals, consideration will not be confined to price only. The successful bidder will be the one whose product is evaluated to best serve the interests of the City when price, quality, experience, schedule, and references are considered. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part thereof, and to waive any minor technicalities. A contract will be awarded to the bidder submitting the best responsible bid meeting the requirements of this request for proposal.
Please note, Kaysville City is currently processing an annexation request that may require the water tank to be located at a different location than described above. In order for the City to fairly evaluate and compare these proposals, the project described herein should be addressed. Any changes in scope will be negotiated with the selected company.
